Pension Insurance Institution (PVA) Assigns Consulting Services to Raiffeisen Informatik

Vienna, April 12, 2010 – the Vienna Pension Insurance Institution assigned Raiffeisen Informatik Consulting to support them in the drafting of a uniform and cross-carrier EDP application as a standard product for handling the core business of pension insurance carriers. The solution will be implemented on a future-proof basis using a service-oriented architecture (SOA).
“Modernization of the EDP environment assists and optimizes the processes of our customer in servicing pensioners. Processes are simplified and paths shortened. The benefit is modern customer service supported through this modern architecture. Customer issues can therefore be handled quickly and smoothly, resulting in customer satisfaction” explains Mag. Wilfried Pruschak, Raiffeisen Informatik managing director, on the challenges of customer service.
The EU-wide invitation to tender and assigned contract cover consulting services particularly related to project and program management, business and enterprise architecture as well as process, object and service modeling. “This project was entrusted to us since we demonstrated the appropriate qualifications and SOA competence as well as experience in realizing such large projects” emphasizes Pruschak. Raiffeisen Informatik will realize this project as general manager in collaboration with the affiliate companies Raiffeisen Solution and Softcom. Everyone Benefits from Modern IT Support “The redesign of IT support for all social security carriers of statutory pension insurance in Austria results in making the processes focus even stronger on the customers. Higher levels of transparency and real-time information enable us to call up any details of procedure type and status as well as location of the file” states Dr. Winfried Pinggera, general manager of PVA, convinced of the benefits and continues “by extending the electronic services around the clock we are providing modern customer assistance. This aspect definitely contributes to increasing customer satisfaction.”
IT support not only increases the transparency but also significantly facilitates administration at the Pension Insurance Institution. Less applications translates into less logon processes and facilitated administration - resulting in time savings and speeding up of procedures.
