Raiffeisen Informatik Operates “Post Manager” for Online Postal Service

Vienna, 04.04.2012 – The "Post Manager" a new service of the Österreichische Post AG is showcased, providing the electronic receipt, dispatch and administration of bills and documents. The great advantage for customers of the Austrian postal service is clear: No more multiple websites to laboriously log on to in order to view bills, rather just one personal inbox with all the customer’s documents providing a clear overview.

"Security and availability have the highest priority in the operation of such services, for this reason we rely on the decades of experience of Raiffeisen Informatik as an IT partner", explains Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Georg Pölzl, general director of the Österreichische Post AG.

"We are pleased to be able to accompany our customers as a strategic IT partner along the path to online postal services. This service represents a further important step as delivery of electronic documents will increasingly gain significance," explains Wilfried Pruschak, Raiffeisen Informatik managing director.

Private Cloud Service

The "Post Manager" is operated in the Raiffeisen Informatik computing center as a modern Private Cloud Service. “Our computing center provides the highest performance with high availability and security from 40 years of experience, precisely what is required for cloud services", emphasizes Pruschak.

Raiffeisen Informatik Private Cloud Services are shielded Internet solutions for businesses and closed user groups, guaranteeing the highest security thanks to multiple security restrictions. The Austrian postal service benefits from the long-term experience of Raiffeisen Informatik in the operation of critical applications.

The “Post Manager” Service

The "Post Manager" enables the reception of electronic bills and documents and clearly presents them to customers in a portal. Furthermore, messages and letters can be sent on these platforms, inclusive of supplements, both electronically and conventionally, the Post Manager taking over printing, enveloping, and forwarding to the postal service for delivery.

The service is provided over the internet and available to customers around the clock. Access requires initial registration and identification at a branch or via mobile phone signature, data being additionally encrypted during processing and storage. Registration for the service is available under www.post.at/postmanager.

All information stored in the "Post Manager" is processed, redundantly mirrored and provided for "Post Manager" users in the Raiffeisen Informatik high-security computing center.
