Strabag AG Outsources Entire Telephony to Raiffeisen Informatik. Outsourcing the Complete STRABAG AG Telephony - 01/24/2006
Strabag AG outsources entire telephony to Raiffeisen Informatik. 220 telephone systems and 8,000 ports have been passed over to the experienced IT services provider.
Vienna, January 24, 2006 - With over 600 locations in 17 countries the most varied telecommunications systems from different vendors are operated; both leased and purchased, with or without maintenance agreement.
All Strabag group locations will be integrated into a new, more efficient operational concept. The Strabag telecommunications systems range from 5 to 1,000 extensions depending on the size of the construction sites.
"Strabag AG has decided to pass over their telecommunications systems to an experienced IT partner as the equipment is no longer a simple device which can be plugged in to a jack. Today, a high-performance service organization with comprehensive IT expertise has to back up a modern telecommunications infrastructure like that at STRABAG with multiple interfaces." explains Mag. Wilfried Pruschak, managing director of Raiffeisen Informatik GmbH, on the Strabag AG decision to outsource the telephony. Currently Strabag AG maintains telecommunications systems in many European and Eastern European countries, such as Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Georgia, Croatia, Poland, Rumania, Russia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Ukraine. The aim is the unification of telephony at all locations. "The telecommunications systems in the individual countries will be systematically renewed following a harmonized roll-out plan" commented Pruschak on the international aspect of the telecommunications outsourcing project.
"By supplying the latest telephony technology paired with IT services and considering costs reduction we provide our customers with a telecommunications infrastructure significantly improving both the economic efficiency and quality of telephony" stated Pruschak as the objectives of the outsourcing project. "The costs savings for our customer, Strabag AG, result primarily from optimization of the investment cycles and usage-based charges based on port prices as well as optimization of the services," Pruschak continues.
Strabag AG can budget all expenditures in advance on the basis of the pooled port price system. Following the outsourcing principle, all services, such as installation/deinstallation of systems, maintenance and servicing, internal and external change management are performed by Raiffeisen Informatik. Raiffeisen Information will also take on financing of the systems.
