In 2000, the Y2K Millennium Project was one of our biggest challenges. RIZ mastered it with great resources and high customer satisfaction
The turn of the millennium is all about the IT explosion on the financial markets.
These are creative but also unrestrained times. With the money of the shareholders innovative enterprises as well as the pure lucky knighthood are financed. Thus, a wave of investments spills over the IT economy. The RRZ was also profiting from the technology boom of this time.
The new GEOS security system will be put into operation in the RIZ data center.
For the first time in 2000, the new securities settlement system GEOS will be successfully put into operation at the primary banks and the Landesbank Vorarlberg. The use of GEOS will take place in 2001 in all primary banks of Vienna, Lower Austria, Burgenland and Styria and at the Landesbanken of these federal states.
Around the clock, on-call services in all IT areas – the data center performs continously and permanently, 7×24 hours in service.
Standby services in all IT areas – from the mainframe, network to the server and client system – the RIZ is now available to customers around the clock. In addition to an increase in service, the existing resources are used cost-optimally. In the area of quality management important steps up to the end-to-end control of all technical systems were tackled.
Raiffeisen Informatik assumed responsibility for the operational IT operations of UNIQA in 2002. The server landscape was migrated to Raiffeisen Informatik. Since then, Raiffeisen Informatik has provided comprehensive IT services to over 7,500 users at over 200 UNIQA sites. At the time, 87 employees of the UNIQA Group were also taken over by Raiffeisen Informatik to fulfill these tasks.
The successful truck toll project was shaping the everyday life of RIZ. 100 employees were involved and made 10,000 man-days. The world was looking to Vienna. Especially our favorite neighbours who had massive troubles with their own toll collection at that time. IT specialists with moderate football enthusiasm spoke of a „second Cordoba“.
The Austrian truck toll system is a proof of strength for RIZ. The successful handling of up to 2 million toll transactions per day is a reference model of the RIZ for worldwide toll systems. Of course, Austrian help for toll collection was also offered in the direction of Germany. She was unheard.
In October 2003, Raiffeisen Informatik was the first company in the world to achieve SAP CCC (Customer Competence Center) certification directly after the SAP Operations Competence Assessment (SOCA).
As part of the SAP Operation Competence Assessments, SAP employees conducted an analysis of the entire support process. It was documented which measures were taken in the RIZ to ensure optimal support of the SAP solutions. The certification confirmed that the company is characterized by high transparency of organization, processes and services.
The first ISO9001: 2000 ÖQS certification took place in February 2003.
The overriding goal of the knowledge management initiative of Raiffeisen Informatik is the general improvement of dealing with knowledge in the company.
The Raiffeisen Informatik Knowledge Management Initiative was launched back in 2003. With the support of an interdisciplinary team – the Knowledge Group – measures for the improved handling of knowledge have been continuously and systematically developed and implemented at Raiffeisen Informatik.
The aim is to create a high level of awareness in dealing with the resource knowledge in order to achieve more efficiency and effectiveness in the provision of services. In addition, the normative goal of knowledge is the creation of a knowledge-based corporate culture.
Awards for the Truck toll system: The introduction of this system caused quite a stir, not only because it was put into operation a year before the German truck toll project, but because it worked flawlessly from the beginning.
Smooth operation brought the „Constantinus“ and „MERCUR“ awards in 2004. Of course, over the years the system has been further developed and adapted to new legal requirements. In addition, the Austrian truck toll system is the only system that has been awarded a certificate by SAP and has been awarded top marks by a manufacturer-independent report by a renowned civil engineer.
Raiffeisen International caused a sensation in 2005. The subscription of the new share was a complete success for the owners of the new East Bank company – and also for Raiffeisen Informatik.
In special shifts the employees handled an enormous transaction volume. Not only the employees worked overtime, but also the booking systems, whose operating hours were extended. 17,206 executions were created and 15,181 new positions were formed on the weekend of the IPO through the share allocation. A top performance.
At the beginning of 2006, the city toll for downtown Stockholm was successfully put into operation. This was only possible because the installers relied on the know-how of R-IT.
More than 245,000 toll transactions and around 220,000 euros in toll revenues were processed on the first toll day. As an Austrian company, Raiffeisen Informatik was instrumental in the implementation of the ambitious project. The employees of Raiffeisen Informatik GmbH were responsible for the conception and design of the central system of the Stockholm City toll.
The „Dual Delivery“, an innovative service that for the first time enables all Austrians to deliver private and official documents, including RSA and RSB broadcasts.
With this application, the delivery pieces can be transmitted legally secure and received by the correct addressee. For example, invoices are automatically routed directly from the customer application either to the printing line or to electronic mailing. The document will be electronically transported as long as possible, saving the customer time and money. In September 2008, this service was awarded the „Multimedia & e-business State Prize 2008“ and the category prize „e-government and public services“ and in October 2008 the „e-biz e-government Award“ in the regional category of Vienna.
